TERMS AND CONDITIONS
AIR TRANSPORTATION
Once ticketed, airline tickets are non-refundable and non- transferable, other restrictions may apply based on individual carrier. Penalties apply for date changes and are the responsibility of the passenger. Air carriers will change a reservation if space is available in the proper class of service for an additional fee to be paid by the passenger. In case of cancellation, reservations must be cancelled 24 hours prior to departure or risk losing the value of the ticket.
TOUR CONDITIONS
Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure, once payment is made tours are non-refundable. Suppliers impose rigid change fees, please be aware that RC Elias Travel has no control over such fees and cannot make any exceptions to these charges. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
RATES
All rates quoted are based on tariffs at time of printing, and are subject to change at any time prior to departure. Best available airfares will be quoted, applicable at time of departure, based on individual gateways for the complete air itinerary.
AIRLINE BAGGAGE REGULATIONS
Each passenger is permitted two (2) pieces of checked luggage not to exceed 62 linear inches of any single bag (width + depth + height). The carriage weight per bag is limited to 50Lbs. Each passenger is permitted one (1) carry-on bag not to exceed 22lbs and 45 linear inches. At least one airline in this trip charges an additional fee for checked baggage. This fee is not included in your total trip cost. Please check with directly on the carrier’s website
RESPONSIBILITY–LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
RC Elias Travel acts only in the capacity as an agent for hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines, and/or contractors providing accommodations, transportation or other services to the client. The client is advised that RC Elias travel purchases such transportation, hotel accommodations, and other services from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with RC Elias Travel. RC Elias Travel makes every effort to select the best suppliers of the aforementioned services. However, RC Elias Travel does not control the operations of these agents and as a result, CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER CLAIM, which may occur as the result of any and/or all of the following: (1) the wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of the independent supplier, agent, its employees or others who are not under the direct control or supervision of RC Elias Travel; (2) defects or failures of any vessel, aircraft, vehicle or other instrumentality which is under the control of an independent supplier; or (3) loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise, resulting directly or indirectly from any Acts of God, dangers, incidents at sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, or wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, or customs regulations, defaults, delays or cancellations or alterations in itinerary due to schedule changes, or from any causes beyond RC Elias Travel’s control. Further, RC Elias Travel is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports, visas or other legal documents. Valid passport are required and is the client’s responsibility to obtain information and proper documentation (ask your travel agent).
TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
Any time you travel to or connect through a foreign country, you will need to prove your citizenship. It is the traveler's obligation to obtain all required international travel documentation. Failure to do so may result in denied boarding and additional costs.
RC Elias Travel is not responsible for passengers who fail to obtain proper documentation prior to travel.
PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS
If you are a U.S. citizen, the requirements for obtaining a passport are outlined on the U.S. State Department web site, www.travel.state.gov. Also, make sure to acquaint yourself with the destination country's entry requirements at Foreign Entry Requirements and Passport Services & Information. Some countries, for example, require that your U.S. passport be valid for at least six (6) months or longer beyond the dates of your trip.
Please note that the U.S. government plans to require passports for re-entry into the United States by air and sea from Central and South America, Mexico, Panama, the Caribbean, Bermuda and Canada, starting January 23, 2007.
If you are a Canadian citizen, you can find passport information on the Canada Consular Affairs website.
All other travelers should check with the consulate or embassy of each country you will be visiting or passing through.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Some countries require that you have a visa issued by the country you are connecting through or visiting. Visa requirements vary based on the country, purpose of the visit and length of stay. For visa and any other entry requirements, contact the visa and consular section of the country's embassy. You can also find requirements for each country at Foreign Entry Requirements.
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
Please see the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Travelers' Health site for health information on specific destinations.
FEE FOR CHECKED BAGS AND MEALS
The following major airlines currently charge an extra fee each time bags are checked with that airline. For passengers whose tickets are sold as a codeshare flight, operating and/or marketing carrier fees may apply. For other airlines, please check that carrier's website for detailed information concerning that carrier's baggage fee policy.
